Garlic Cheddar Biscuits
These biscuits are similar to the ones served at Red Lobster.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups All-Purpose flour
- 4 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 3 Teaspoons Garlic Powder (divided)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Chicken Bouillon Granules
(divided)
- 1/2 Cup Butter flavored Shortening
- 3/4 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Cup Buttermilk (substitution: 1 Cup
regular milk and add 1 Tablespoon
Lemon Juice to it)
- 3 Tablespoons Butter or Margarine, melted
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- In a bowl, combine Flour, Baking Powder, 2
Teaspoons Garlic Powder, Baking Soda and 1/2
Teaspoon Bouillon
- Cut in Shortening until mixture resembles coarse
crumbs
- Add Cheese and stir in Buttermilk just until mix
is moistened
- Drop by heaping Tablespoonfuls onto a greased
baking sheet
- Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes
- Combine the Butter with the remaining Garlic
Powder and Bouillon and brush over Biscuits
- Bake 4 minutes longer or until golden brown
